次貸危機爆發以後，為推動對經濟安全的研究，由國際經濟領域的重要企業、中介組織和具有影響力的專家、學者、知名人士自願組成的民間非營利性社會團體—CQ9电子國際經濟協會，經CQ9电子省民政廳批準於2009年9月30日正式成立。協會現有4個執行會長單位，分別是：CQ9电子省廣晟資產經營有限公司、CQ9电子省廣業資產經營有限公司、CQ9电子省能源集團有限公司以及CQ9电子恒健投資控股有限公司。會長、名譽會長、顧問、副會長等由一批有名望的老領導、在職領導以及資深專家學者擔任，工作人員主要由多位經驗豐富的專家和海歸人員組成。協會設秘書處，下設綜合部、研究部、會員部和業務部。
協會的宗旨：
本會的宗旨是，以習近平新時代中國特色社會主義思想為指導，服從中國共產黨的全麵統一領導，遵守國家憲法、法律，以推進“一帶一路”建設和粵港澳大灣區建設為主要任務，堅持“為政府、為社會、為企業服務”的原則，組織專家、學者對經濟安全維護和海外利益保護兩個領域進行研究、提供谘詢，促進CQ9电子及泛珠三角地區與世界各國、各區域之間的交流合作。
協會業務範圍：
（一） 建立經濟安全專家庫，組織專家開展產業、金融、資源、信息等領域的經濟安全研究。
（二） 開展相關經濟交流活動。聯係省內乃至泛珠三角區域的企業開展產業、貿易、金融和技術等方麵的交流合作；聯係國外企業及財團與省內乃至泛珠三角區域的企業開展交流合作。
（三） 組織經濟、技術交流和經濟安全論壇活動。
（四） 組織經濟安全培訓，培養經濟安全人才。
（五） 組織相關領域的專業人士為企業提供法律、經濟、技術等方麵的服務，協助企業防範法律、經濟、技術等領域的風險。
（六） 收集、整理相關經濟技術和經濟安全信息，並通過簡報、資訊、網站、刊物等方式傳遞和發布。

The Guangdong International Economy Association(GIEA) was founded in Guangzhou city, the capital of Guangdong province, China on 23rd,Dec 2009 after the world financial crisis by a group of influential scholars, professionals well-known entrepreneurs as well as some most important enterprises within Guangdong province.
